Getting Started
How does Gold Star work?
Gold Star connects to your Google Business Profile and automatically responds to your customer reviews. When someone leaves a review — good or bad — Gold Star crafts a genuine, professional response and posts it on your behalf. No more letting reviews sit unanswered for months.
What do I need to set it up?
Just your Google Business Profile login. Gold Star needs permission to manage your reviews — you grant that during setup with a quick Google sign-in. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.
How long until I see responses on my reviews?
Gold Star checks for new reviews regularly. Any reviews that arrive after your setup are responded to automatically. If you have a backlog of unanswered reviews, Gold Star will work through those too — you'll start seeing responses within a few hours of completing setup.
Does Gold Star respond to all reviews, or just positive ones?
All of them. Responding to negative reviews is actually more important than responding to positive ones — it shows potential customers that you care and take problems seriously. Gold Star handles critical reviews with care: acknowledging the concern, avoiding defensiveness, and inviting the customer to connect directly.
Responses & Quality
Will the responses sound robotic or generic?
No. Gold Star writes responses that sound like they came from a real business owner — warm, specific to the review, and natural. It reads what the customer actually wrote and tailors the response. We've put a lot of work into making sure the responses don't sound like templates.
Can I see the responses before they go live?
Not in the current version — Gold Star posts automatically. If you'd like to review a recent response or want something adjusted, just reach out. We're building a dashboard where you'll be able to see and edit responses — that's coming soon.
What if a response gets something wrong about my business?
Let us know immediately at hello@forgelinesystems.com and we'll edit or remove the response. We can also add specific details about your business (services, location, hours) to make future responses more accurate. Just send us a quick note about what to include.
Will my Google rating go up?
Responding to reviews doesn't directly change your star rating — only new reviews do that. But businesses that respond consistently tend to attract more reviews over time, and they convert better when potential customers are evaluating them. Responding shows you're engaged, and customers notice.

How much does Gold Star cost?
$149 per month, billed monthly. No contracts, no setup fees. Cancel anytime.
How do I cancel?
Email hello@forgelinesystems.com and we'll cancel your subscription immediately — no questions asked, no hassle. You can also reply STOP to any text you've received from us.
What happens to my reviews if I cancel?
Your Google reviews stay exactly as they are — all the responses we've posted remain on your listing. Gold Star simply stops posting new responses. Nothing is deleted.
Can I pause instead of cancel?
Yes — just email us and we'll pause your account. You won't be billed during the pause and can resume whenever you're ready.
Technical
Is Gold Star using AI?
Yes. Gold Star uses large language models to read each review and write a response. If a customer ever asks whether they're talking to a real person, we're transparent about it — we're not in the business of pretending to be something we're not. But for review responses, what matters is whether the response is good — and ours are.
Is my Google account secure?
Yes. Gold Star uses Google's official OAuth authorization — we never see or store your Google password. You grant us limited permission to manage your business reviews only. You can revoke access at any time directly from your Google account settings under "Third-party apps."
My setup link expired. What do I do?
Setup links expire after 7 days for security. Just text or email us and we'll send you a fresh one right away — usually within a few minutes.
Gold Star connected but I'm not seeing responses yet. Is something wrong?
It usually takes a few hours for Gold Star to process your existing reviews. If you haven't seen any activity after 24 hours, reach out — it's almost always a quick fix on our end.
